Optimum Health and Fitness Centre (Pty) Ltd provides occupational health services to companies and individual workers in Welkom and the wider Free State.
We combine role-relevant medical assessments, specialist screening and clear communication to support informed fitness-for-work decisions. Our work is guided by each employee’s occupation and exposure profile.
Services take place at our Welkom clinic. We welcome employers from Welkom, Theunissen, Henneman and across the Free State.

Professional Nurse, Midwife &
Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
Anna brings 18 years of nursing experience across hospital settings and primary healthcare. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing from the University of the Free State.
At Optimum, she leads occupational health assessments, clinical standards and the coordination of appropriate referrals.
MANAGER
Mapomsi Msindisi Mdlovu
Coordinates clinic operations, employer relationships and appointment planning, helping the team provide an organised and responsive service.
Dr Solomon Phetlhe
Provides the referral pathway for cases that require further medical investigation, specialist input or review beyond nursing competence.
